Now it’s become a thing, it’s a tradition! It’s the second month this year that I’m launching a clean eating challenge and sharing a new healthy eating plan.

This month’s challenge is to eat very little food after 14 for 7 days. This method has helped me tremendously in the past whenever I needed to lose a few pounds without counting calories, thinking deeply, and exercising regularly. Eating low carb throughout the day is a natural way to reduce your calorie intake so your body can burn fat more easily.

For this month’s challenge, we’re going to try something a little different. We will eat as healthy as possible and try to eat as few carbohydrates as possible after See, this doesn’t mean keto, it means low carb.

For example, instead of serving chicken and broccoli with a full cup of rice, we increase the portion of broccoli and reduce or eliminate the rice. That is what I mean. Since rice has more calories and less fat than broccoli, you will eat fewer calories. But don’t worry, you won’t feel deprived.

So if you’re a vegetarian, don’t drive yourself crazy trying to reduce your food intake to achieve this goal. Maybe you could use 1/2 cup of quinoa instead of 1 cup and add avocado, veggies or nuts.

There are several theories as to why eating fewer carbohydrates during the day can work. One is that we tend to be inactive at night, so if you eat carbs at 20.00, it is harder to burn carbohydrates, which leads to water retention and ultimately the carbohydrates are stored as fat.

To be honest, I’m not sure this is true, I haven’t found a good paper on this yet, although it makes sense,

Like I said, I saw it work a few years ago and my stomach was smoother than ever in the morning.

I personally believe that when you restrict carbs, fat, or total calories at certain times of the day, you end up eating less across the board. In my case, I know I eat a lot of carbs every day. I love my bread, I love my pasta, and one day I will eat them all. If I eliminate one of these, I know that I will eat less overall and my body will be better able to process the carbs I consume.

But to be clear, I don’t count calories, and I don’t think that’s a good habit for your mental health. I know that changing your mindset and eating low calorie vegetables like collard greens, cauliflower and broccoli is a better, more natural way to reduce your calorie intake and reach your weight loss goals.
