As a general rule, you should eat between 1200-1700 calories per day to lose weight depending on the factors mentioned above. If you work out a lot, you need to eat less to ensure your body is fueled and has enough energy throughout the day. If you want to lose weight based on 1500 calories a day I usually recommend recipes between 300 and 500 calories. To achieve long-term weight loss results, I really encourage a simple lifestyle change, especially with an emphasis on eating whole foods and good things. Ditch the packaged food and cook healthy meals at home. This is where a meal plan can help in a diet plan!
