Beauty And The Beast Castle Disney – The Enchanted Tale of Beauty and the Beast is the latest ride to join the ranks of other off-trail attractions at Disney parks around the world. Instead of escaping the First Order or wandering around a mystical mansion, you can join Belle on her journey through the animated classic Beauty and the Beast.
What do I think of Enchanted Tales of Beauty and the Beast at Tokyo Disneyland? I’ll tell you what I liked, what I didn’t like, and where it ranks among other Disney park attractions in the world.

To give you a quick, spoiler-free review: No Beauty and the Beast fans will be disappointed. It hits all the right notes and makes you feel like you are part of the story. It’s a story as old as time, coming back to life.

From now on, I will talk about attracting details that I consider spoilers. If you don’t want to spoil anything, I recommend checking out all the merchandise and food and watching our walkthrough of the new Fantasyland area.
I need to talk about a new “Entry Application” system that I like to refer to as the “Real Queue Lottery”.
As of this writing, Enchanted Tale of Beauty and the Beast does not have a Backup Line, FastPass, or Single Rider Line. This may change in the future, but currently the only way to get a ride is through the “access on demand” system.
Well, let’s get to the good parts, shall we? What do I think of all aspects of the Enchanted Tale of Beauty and the Beast experience at Tokyo Disneyland?

The moment you stand outside the Beast’s castle, the story of Beauty and the Beast is already in full swing. In fact, the story begins as soon as you enter the village. As you pass Maurice’s house, the library, La Taverne de Gaston and finally the castle courtyard, everything is inspired by the story.
You will live Belle’s story from the first moments of the film to the last scene. It’s remarkable how clear the storytelling is across the country and how consistent the appeal is. It speaks to the incredible talent of the Imagination team who worked so hard on this project.
To give a little background, when I was in elementary school, our class put on the play “Beauty and the Beast.” It was here that she made her acting debut as “Baker #2” in the opening scene of the play and shouted “Bonjour!” She made the phrase perfect. Growing up in Canada, where French is our second official language, I was like, “Banjoor!” The phrase was “to learn”. It was fundamental to me.

An experience that I had only seen in animated form came to life before my eyes and put a happy smile on my face. Even with my mask on, no one could see how big my smile was.
ChÂteau De Chambord
As my back shivered after crossing the bridge into the yard, I found it hard to believe this was true. The attention to detail is amazing, which is not surprising given many of the projects you see at Tokyo Disney Resort.
Finally, as I walked through the castle and the queue, I couldn’t help but see a little tear in my eye. The interior is exactly what I dreamed of when I was seven years old. Vivid and full of elegance.
Yes, it’s a beautiful castle with all the details you’d expect to see with a hint of magic. It was a lot of fun and I can’t believe I’m saying this, I wish I had more time in the queue to get it in.
I went into this attraction without any spoilers or knowing anything about it (of course out). The preview completely surprised me. If you are familiar with Tokyo DisneySea Tower of Terror preview, it will give you similar feelings. But less Joe Rudd and more Paige O’Hara (in Japanese).
Words In The Kitchen Sink: Beauty And The Beast 1991: A Masterwork Of Gothic Imagery
It starts like a movie. I don’t need to say more than that. It gave me goosebumps and again, put a smile on my face the whole time.
After the initial trailer, you return to another entrance where you see most of the characters simply surviving in the castle (at least they’re trying to since they’re trapped). Then you enter the galley, which is the loading area.
You seat 10 guests in your teacup and walk out of the kitchen with 5 more teacups at the same time. This means a total of 60 guests dancing with you in the castle. Or in more technical terms, 60 guests are sent every few minutes, which is a high throughput.

The opening scene is the iconic “Be Our Guest” scene, and it’s undoubtedly as magical and satisfying as you’d imagine. You spin and dance in your cup of tea as a timeless song plays in the great room. Then, you’ll be taken through more amazing scenes of Beauty and the Beast.
I Know Beast’s Castle Is Considered To Be A Bad Use Of Forced Perspective, But It Really Does Look Huge From Certain Angles.
In the final scene, prepare yourself for chills and tears. Everything you dreamed of as a child about the ballroom scene is a reality before your eyes. I never thought it would be possible to be part of the story in this “enchanted” teacup. I’m not afraid to admit that it brought tears to my eyes.
This 35-year-old howler is not only impressive technology, it’s a perfect blend of technology and storytelling. I think it’s something that imagineers work hard at and it’s a skill.
Finally, before you pull yourself together, the story ends as perfectly as anything you’ve ever found.
Nothing is perfect, and that goes for the magical story of Beauty and the Beast. The animation is amazing and I want to give a big credit to everyone who worked on it because now they are a hindrance to anything moving forward.

One scene I’m excited for more of is the scene where the mob attacks the castle. My personal favorite scene in the movie. From a technical point of view, I don’t know how it works. A door with picks and other weapons where Vivi is stuck through a door keeping a hidden scat out of it is a great start to what I think is a more epic sequence.
Most of the scene in question took place in other parts of the castle and outside of it, so I understand the challenge. However, that doesn’t stop me from feeling like I want more (we always want more, don’t we?).
In short, a long scene with the crowd would add to the appeal. However, if that’s my only criticism, I don’t have much to complain about. Since I’m not a fan, I don’t have the legs to stand on my criticism.
Célon Dion’s animation at the end of singing “Beauty and the Beast” does not add to the cuteness. Like the “Shaman of Songs” on the Navi River Cruise at Walt Disney World. As a proud Canadian, that makes my heart sing.
Beast And Belle Forever
Where does the Enchanted Tale of Beauty and the Beast rank among other off-the-beaten-track rides created by Disney? Just last year we saw the opening of Rise of the Resistance and Mickey’s Runaway Railway at Disney parks in the US. I was fortunate enough to experience both of these efforts several times before the world reached its present state, you know.
It’s a question I’ve been pondering since I first got out of my magical Beauty and the Beast teacup. I admit my bias towards Beauty and the Beast because of my affection and emotional attachment to the film.
Without a doubt, the magical story of Beauty and the Beast enters the list of attractions for Disney parks. The main attractions at Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo Disney Resort? Yes, it is.
This attraction deserves a place on your “things to do” list as a theme park enthusiast. If you want to live out your fairy tale, this is the closest we’ll get for a while.
