Note: It is also common to add up to 1/2 cup of Greek milk to the base mixture. Because research shows that adding dairy to oats can have a phytic acid-lowering effect, I prefer to keep my overnight oats dairy-free and vegan. (Use maple syrup to preserve this recipe.)
