Let’s talk about the ingredients first. In a typical body armor (I’m not thinking of an ultra-low calorie version) you’ll typically find:

It definitely has more vitamins and ingredients than Gatorade – many of which are perfect for a breastfeeding mom to include in her diet.
Kelly, an IBCLC, whom I respect greatly, says that if mom is deficient in certain minerals, adding them to her diet can sometimes help replenish your breast milk. So if you are deficient in any of the minerals above, that is probably why you are seeing an increase.
As I said, the minerals calcium and magnesium are the ones that are most important to me because I know they impact supply.
Calcium and magnesium are actually recommended minerals for women when their supply decreases due to menstruation. So these may have some impact.

A general recommendation is 500 to 1500 mg of calcium and 250 to 750 mg of magnesium. The quantity of each flavor varies. For example, a 28-ounce serving of strawberry bananas contains 125 milligrams of magnesium. If you drink two bottles, you may be able to reach the lowest level (who knows, it may even help).
I don’t see the percentage of calcium on the nutrition label at all, so I’m guessing the amount is negligible – not even worth mentioning.
This drink also contains other minerals and vitamins, so it may be helpful if you are deficient in these and it is affecting your milk production in some way.
Many claim that the coconut in the drink is responsible for the increased supply. Coconut is considered a galactagogue.
Ways To Increase Milk Supply Naturally
However, this drink only contains 10% coconut water, which isn’t much. Was it helpful? Perhaps. But as far as I know, coconut water as a galactagogue should be 100% coconut water.
Ultimately, drinking large amounts of these hydrates may provide the greatest benefits. For milk production, it is not recommended to drink large amounts of fluid – about 200 ml is ideal, maybe a little more (or even better, drink to quench your thirst).
Many moms find that this doesn’t actually help them breastfeed, but it does help them drink more water, which makes them feel better – and in many cases, it makes you want to nurse more. Is!
The placebo effect plays a role in many things, and I think that may be the case here. The mind can do powerful things!
