Each morning meal follows a winning “10/4” combination, meaning these meals are packed with at least 10 grams of protein and at least 4 grams of fiber to get you started and fueled until breakfast time. Also, drink an “energizing drink” to boost your morning energy. Choose a coffee (or two) or black/green tea. Skip the sugar and enjoy the milk of choice.

Slice whole-wheat toast with 1/4 mashed avocado and a poached, poached or scrambled egg and sprinkled with your favorite herbs and ground black pepper. Enjoy with a grapefruit or half an orange on the side.

One whole egg and three egg whites combined with any vegetable (chopped tomatoes, onions, mushrooms, spinach, peppers, green beans, etc.) and a slice of wholemeal bread OR half an orange or grapefruit.
