How To Sell My Handmade Jewelry – ByMaraca is all about bold and sophisticated jewelery made by me in my studio in Liverpool, UK. Established in early 2020, I decided to take matters into my own hands when the first closing came. After a 10-week course with Make It With Kim, I started working on my maraca pieces with the idea of selling them already in my head.
How did I do it? Well, I had a small opportunity, which is that before I started with Marka, I had a small printing business, through which I gained experience in selling etchings of with drinks published online and from 2017 in local markets, art exhibitions and the like. Knowing how the markets work, what to pack and how to get them was a huge task that was no longer possible when the individual markets started happening again in the fall of 2020.

How To Price Your Handmade Jewellery
Every jewelry show is different, every market is different, and you and your store will change over time, and so should you. What seems like a good idea at home may not work “over there”, what makes sense to you may confuse the customer. Combine all the gems? Share collections? Type of jewelry? From information? Give it a try and see what it says. See what questions you ask and take it from there. And – might I add – never apologize for your prices.
It varies from manufacturer to manufacturer and whether you offer many different products/designs. I try to bring two to five per point, but the most important thing, don’t burn on the way to do them. If you can satisfactorily fill your screen, you’re good. This measure depends on the beauty you want.
The Baimaraka platform is filled with about 100 different products. Some have 10 carefully selected pieces and they look amazing. There is no right or wrong: see what you can control and what you want and what you can achieve. Also look at markets as networking opportunities: people may want to consider buying jewelry, make sure your contact information is visible (posters) and portable (business cards).
