Niagara Falls Tours From Toronto – Niagara Falls is one of Canada’s top attractions and for good reason! This incredibly simple waterfall is one of the most famous waterfalls in the country and even in the world. Its grandeur is something you have to see and believe me, if you see the falls for yourself, you will look like a surprised emoji face – at least I did!

Niagara Falls has three separate falls and is located on the border of Canada and the United States. But luckily for Canadians, the best views come from the Canadian side of Ontario! If you are looking to make a day trip, there are options to visit Niagara Falls in Toronto.

Toronto is Canada’s largest city and the country’s largest airport flies here. There are many recreational activities in Toronto and since it is only about 1.5 hours from Niagara Falls, do not miss the opportunity to see the world famous waterfall.

A Beginner Guide For The Tourist In Toronto

If you’re like me and like to have someone do the planning, the best way to get to Niagara Falls from Toronto is as part of a tour. You will find this amazing place without the hassle of getting there – you are looking at Toronto Street!

I’m going to highlight five of the best Niagara Falls tours from Toronto, including the one I took, to help you decide which one to go!

Niagara Falls is thought to be about 12,000 years old – which, if you can believe it, is really “young” in terms of geological features.

At first, the falls were created with the help of melting glaciers that created a large lake in the area. The rushing waters of Lake Erie and Lake Ontario formed Niagara Falls and formed Niagara Falls.

Niagara Falls Day Trips From New York

I mentioned earlier that Niagara Falls isn’t just one waterfall, it’s actually three: Bridal Veil Falls, American Falls, and the largest (on the Canadian side) is Horseshoe Falls. If you’re looking for Niagara Falls – especially the horseshoes – you’ll love the power of water. There is enough water flowing over these falls (about 600,000 gallons / 2.5 million liters) that it could fill an Olympic swimming pool in a second!

The amount of water that flows over the falls is reduced at night, but it is about half of what it is during the day. Some of the water is diverted to power stations in the United States and Canada between 9:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. every day. But he returned with a vengeance in those bright hours!

Niagara Falls is located on the border of Canada and the United States and can be visited from New York or Ontario. Without a doubt, the best views are from the Ontario side, which is perfect for all tours coming from Toronto!

The waterfalls are connected by the Rainbow fabric. You can walk along this bridge for a great view of the falls (or fireworks!). Just be aware that if you want to cross the bridge completely to the other side of the landing, you are entering another country, so you need a passport!

Complete Niagara Falls Tour: Boat Ride & Journey Behind The Falls

The best time to visit Niagara Falls, although it is the most crowded, is the summer months between June and August. At this time, you will have the best temperature, which is especially good if your trip includes a boat trip on the water, because the fog from the fall is frozen!

While the trip and landing is a free technology to do, we found that the tour is worth it! This is especially true if you are planning a day trip from Toronto. You need transportation to get there and if you don’t want to deal with Toronto traffic or looking for parking, a tour that includes your trip there and back is a big plus.

Also, many trips from Toronto include some interesting extras. Our next (#1 on our list below!) includes a river cruise so you can experience the fall mist. Some tours include some amazing extras like a winery tour or a helicopter flight over the falls!

While these falls are impressive, no matter how you choose to experience them, walking around enhances the experience and makes for an unforgettable day!

We liked that the bus made several stops during the trip so we could take pictures and do sightseeing. We stopped first at the Niagara College Teaching Winery for wine sales. I’m telling you, it may be school, but the wine is good! Oh, and there’s nothing like some wine at 11 o’clock!

After some time, we reached Niagara Falls where we had the opportunity to walk around and see the falls from every angle. It’s really interesting! Be sure to walk the right way along the boardwalk to see the falls from every angle.

So it’s time for lunch! In autumn and winter, three meals are included at the Table Rock House restaurant. This restaurant overlooks the falls, so talk about dining and views!! During the spring and summer, you will dine at the Queen Victoria Place restaurant. We were there in the summer and we had lunch. It certainly wasn’t a great dining experience, but the food was still delicious.

Next is our boat! The falls boat tour is definitely a highlight. Although it’s a quick trip, it’s all you need to see the power of Niagara Falls in real water! If you are there and the boat is not running, you will find the Behind the Falls tour. This allows you to see the big water from the observation deck behind the waterfall!

Finally, we had time to shop and explore around the beautiful town of Niagara on the Lake, with quaint shops, historic buildings and beautiful flowers. We stopped for beer and food at the Shore Cafe and Wine Bar which we recommend!

While Niagara Falls was definitely the star of the day, this trip had many unique additions that we enjoyed. Tickets are $200 CAD each, when you factor in the whole experience, we couldn’t have made it cheaper than ourselves, and everything was planned amazingly!

Begin arriving at 8:00 am from the pickup area outside Ripley’s Aquarium of Canada. The drive takes you to Niagara Falls via Niagara Parkway, which Winston Churchill once called the “Prettiest Sunday Drive in the World” – so you know the place is beautiful! Depending on the season, you should have some photos on the way, including the smallest church in the world and a beautiful flower clock.

Once you arrive at Niagara Falls, you will have three hours of free time to explore on your own! If you are the type of traveler who likes to go on a unique tourist experience, this is a good time to do it.

Unlike a Washington, DC cruise that includes meals, you’ll want to grab lunch at a nearby restaurant or fast food joint. But you can also eat with a view of failure. If you want, you can book a cruise to get into the water, go behind the falls on the Behind the Falls Tour, climb the Skylon Tower or watch the cool 4-D movie called Niagara’s Fury. You also have the opportunity to visit the casino or discover the “Street of Fun” aka Clifton Hill with its arcades, mini-golf and a Ferris wheel.

The whole experience is $99 CAD if you choose not to have a boat and $135 CAD if you choose one.
