It is based on the only map of the island created by Christopher Tolkien as well as J.R.R. Also references to the works of Tolkien. I decided to create a map with bright colors and details, including some major cities and landmarks. To do this, I either took design inspiration from previous illustrations by other artists, or based the architecture on the buildings and cities of Gondor.

Amazon’s original series is perfectly suited to set The Rings of Power, which is set in the Second Middle Ages, before the events of The Lord of the Rings novels and movies.

Printed with high quality inks on thick 170gsm paper with a soft matte finish. Available in standard sizes for easy framing. It is best enjoyed in a larger size where you can appreciate every detail.

You can resize it a bit if you need to design it, and remove the border around the sushi for a cleaner and simpler look. Feel free to message me with your inquiry.

Due to Covid congestion and many national postal services, delivery times may vary and take a little longer. Thank you for your understanding. For the United States, the wait can take up to a month, and as a reminder, the USPS does not allow international tracking of packages.

Númenor was a kingdom of men based on the island that was raised from the sea by the Velar at the beginning of the Second Age after the final destruction of Balerand. The culture of the Númenóreans arose there shortly afterwards.

Númenor was a kingdom of the Númenóreans, the Dúnedain, located on an island in the Great Sea, between Middle-earth and Oman. The land was taken from the sea as a gift to the people. The island was originally called Elina or the Isle of Elina (“Star Directions”) because Dunedin was led to it by the star of Everandale and because the island was shaped like a five-pointed star. In the center of the island, Mount Menilterma was used by the Dunedin as a temple to Alutar. The largest city and capital of the island was Erminelos.

There were only two rivers on the island: the Searle, which began at Maneltrum and ended in a small delta near the town of Nandamas, and the Nanduin, which flowed into the sea at Eldana Bay near the settlement of the people of Eldalonde.

After the Great War with the Dark Lord Margoth, the Valar took pity on the three Houses of Edin for their suffering and gave the survivors the Isle of Elina, known as “Númenor” or “Andor”. Elros, son of Eorendil, was the first king of Númenor, named Tar-Miniature (“The First High King”). During his reign (SA 32 to SA 442 in the second period) and that of his descendants, the Númenóreani became very powerful, with lives many times longer than those of Middle-earth. The first ship sailed from Númenor to Middle-earth in 600 BC, making contact with Gil-Galad and helping the Twilight Men of Middle-earth as teachers.

Under the ban of the Valar, the Númenóreans were forbidden to travel so far west that Númenor was no longer visible, for fear they would stumble upon the Immortal Land, where men could not come.

In Middle-earth in the year 1600 SA, the Dark Lord Sauron (a former servant of Margoth), an enemy of the Valar, betrayed the eleven workers of Erigion and forged the Master of the Rings. By 1693 BC the Elves and Sauron were at war, and in 1699 BC Eridor was captured. Númenor saw this, and the King of Númenor, Tar-Menaster, sent a fleet to rescue Linden, and by SA 1701, Eridor was freed and Sauron was thrown back into Mordor. Around SA 1800, the Numenoreans began to settle in places like Umbar on the coast of Middle-earth. But Sauron increased his power, and his shadow fell upon Númenor.

In time, the Númenorians resented the Valir’s prohibition and rebelled against their rule, seeking eternal life, which they believed was unsatisfactory to them. They tried to make up for it by sailing eastward and settling much of Middle-earth, first as friends and then as oppressors. The Númenóreans soon ruled a large but formidable sea kingdom with no rival, but some remained loyal to the Valar and friendly with the Elves.

In 3255 SA, the 25th king Ar-Farazon traveled to Middle-earth. The Númenóreans became so powerful that Sauron himself succumbed to their might. Sauron then poisoned the king’s mind and immediately corrupted the Númenóreans, promising them eternal life if they worshiped Margoth. With Soran as his advisor, Ar-Farazon built a 500-foot-tall temple to Margoth in which he offered human sacrifices.

At this time the white tree, Nimlot el Faust, whose destiny was said to be linked to the line of kings, was cut down and burned as a sacrifice to Margoth. Isildur saved the fruit of the tree, which grew to become the White Tree of Gondor, and preserved the ancient row of trees.

At Sauron’s behest and fear of death and old age, Ar-Farazon created the Great
