If you suffer from lower back pain while sitting, you are not alone. It is estimated that 75-85% of Americans experience back pain at some point in their lives – and it is estimated that low back pain is the most common cause of disability worldwide.

Lower Back Pain When Lying Down: Causes And Treatments
Your spine, also called the spine or spine, consists of 26 vertebrae (bones) separated by soft, spongy discs that act as shock absorbers. The lower part of the back called the lumbar spine consists of five vertebrae.
“Sitting puts more stress on the lumbar discs and other structures of the back than other positions, such as standing or lying down,” says Jeremy James, DC, CSCS, a chiropractor who specializes in pain management. chronic back pain and founder of FITFOREVER.
Sitting for long periods of time worsens the condition, he explains, because of a condition called “slippage,” where the ligaments and discs in the back wear down over time. When creeps appear, these cells are in a damaged state, which can cause pain.
Even if you have good posture, you may experience lower back pain if you sit for long periods of time due to stress on the back muscles and spinal discs. Poor posture can worsen low back pain by straining ligaments, straining discs, and even damaging spinal components.
Is Poor Posture Causing Your Back Pain?
James says: “The best position is sitting, chest and shoulders on the floor and back.” “There should be a slight gap in the lower back. Try to keep your head on your shoulders and don’t lean forward.”
A small study conducted in Scotland in 2006 that used magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) showed that sitting upright at a 90-degree angle put unnecessary pressure on the back of 22 healthy participants. Leaning reduced the height of their spinal discs, which could cause them to tear and tear. Researchers have concluded that the ideal position is to lie at a 135-degree angle with your feet flat on the floor.
The best strategy to avoid lower back pain while sitting, James says, is to get up and move around every 20 minutes, which is usually the time to start ts’ climbing process.
If you cannot do this, James recommends that you change your sitting position, such as crossing one leg over the other or leaning to one side. “This will change the tissues in your spine that are stressed, which can prevent pain and slow down the crawling process,” he says.
