Suggest Me Some Good Books To Read – “Green Light” by Matthew McConaughey. I found this book interesting because I have seen many of his movies. I also remembered a few stories he wrote about when they appeared in celebrity news. He’s lived an interesting life, and it was great to hear him read it in his own voice on Audible. There are points I could make without explaining the picture in mind, but I will say that it was easy and interesting to listen to.
Before We Were Yours by Lisa Wingate – I was completely captivated by this story. It was sad and scary to listen to at times, but I was very interested in this story. I liked that both the present and past tenses were discussed. I didn’t like that it was based on true stories of what happened at the Tennessee Children’s Home Society.
Suggest Me Some Good Books To Read
“Maybe Someday” by Colleen Hoover – I loved this story. Colleen Hoover’s books can be a little predictable, but I think that’s what makes them so easy to read and listen to. I loved the dialogue in this story.
Paperbacks To Read This Week
Ugly Love by Colleen Hoover – So I heard this book (unfortunately). This story, as usual with Coho, was an easy read, but I couldn’t get over the way the voice actress said the name “Rachel”. He said this many times. He was a robot. So maybe read this instead of listening!
“Hotel Nantucket” by Elin Hilderbrand. You know, I’m being completely honest and I think this book is stupid. It’s boring again. I’m not sure why I finished this.
“Life in Pieces” by Bryan Cranston. I’m one of those people who thinks Breaking Bad is one of the best shows of all time, and that’s why I love Bryan Cranston. This biography of his life was interesting! I love learning more about him and his life!
“Paris Apartment” by Lucy Foley. I read this author’s Guest List and loved it, so I was eager to hear about this book. It was dark, mysterious and slow. All in all, it was an interesting listen, but I would encourage you to stick with it…it’s a slow process.

“Stories I Only Tell My Friends” by Rob Lowe – I didn’t finish reading it, because I was so tired of tears. THE STARS.
The golden couple of Gerer Hendricks and Sara Pekkanen was an interesting story, but it ended up going in a different direction than I expected! Love the twisted relationship story!
“Will” by Will Smith. It can best be described as a love letter from Will to Will. I heard a little at first, but I got tired of hearing it.
“I Only Said” by Colleen Hoover – I loved this story. While I understand the point of including the “daytime” entries on Ellen, I think that was the final point for me when I decided I didn’t like pop culture references in books. I thought the same about the Nantucket hotel.
Why I Refuse To Track How Many Books I’ve Read
It Begins With Us by Colleen Hoover (the second book you should read after Ending With Us) – If you haven’t read Ending With Us, you will find this book very … shallow and pointless. BUT as a way to end the story between Atlas and Lily it worked well.
The Midnight Library by Matt Haig – I read this and ended up not finishing it. I was bored and depressed. At first I thought the story was interesting and maybe I should visit it, but it didn’t do anything for me.
“Black Pie” by Charmin Wilkerson. This book was highly recommended and I started it, but I couldn’t get into it. To be honest, I think the first part of the book was so annoying that it made me pay attention.
Wish You Were Here by Jodi Picoult – I had a serious injury while writing the book! I have never seen such a twist in a story before! Honestly, I think it was too early to read a book about Covid. The plot was really interesting and thought provoking, but it didn’t go the way I expected!

Things We Will Never Get Again by Lucy Score – When this book started, I was tempted by a different story, but when I got halfway through, I felt like I was reading a completely different book. Was it… normal? No one admires me more.
Every Summer After Carly Fortune – I loved this book. I loved the plot, the script and the relationships. The day felt warm and sunny and even heartbreaking at times! Carly is writing another book and I can’t wait to read it.
Emily Henry’s Beach Read – This was an easy summer read. I read two other books by Emily Henry and loved them!
On the topic of Lucy Score – I tried this author because of the high ratings on GoodReads. Basically, this book was a complete romance of sexual conflicts and graphic sexual encounters.

“Meet Me in the Fields” by Melissa Ferguson – I liked the little mystery in this story. It was an easy and simple read.
“Layla” by Colleen Hoover – I couldn’t finish this book because of the horror/ghost going on in it. It gave me nightmares.

It reminded me of how we traveled all over Europe in an ambulance until I turned into a camp, and how we studied a lot. I worry that scrolling on my phone is preventing me from reading as much as I used to, but I still read a lot of books.
Books To Give As Gifts In 2022
The other day my wife posted on Instagram all the books she read in 2022 and I thought they were really funny. So I was able to move all the covers to a folder on my phone and send them. I’m sure I missed a few books from earlier this year, but I managed to find 45 titles that I read or listened to.
I’ve also included a few great books that I’ve read with my kids because they’re just great books! Toffle Towers is great, and the Little House series has become a favorite of mine and the girls.
In fact, when I look at these pictures, I remember a few other books that I had forgotten! I tried reading some indie authors as well as popular books. I like to think I have a good mix. I also read a lot of reference books, and even bought a lot of reference books for certain magazine topics (for example, I bought a whole book on butter skin).
Next year I will try to keep a better record of what I read and listen to so I don’t miss anything. I love reading people’s book lists. This is a way to filter and select what to read or add to my “To Read” list. I use Trello for this and set it up like Kendra from The Lazy Genius Collective will show you in this post. This way I can add or view on my computer, iPad or phone and easily move items to different lists.
